Dougherty District Attorney Greg Edwards apologized for linking recent gang murder to Omega Psi Phi fraternity.

In news coverage of the Sunday shooting incident in the Shackleford Shopping Center, Edwards had said that some of the friction that led to the shooting began at the Omega Psi Phi fraternity location.

He retracted the remarks today, saying that witnesses had given him wrong information, and he relayed it, not knowing at the time that it was in error.

The leader of the Bloods, 24-year-old Dontavious Luke, was shot and killed at the Shackleford Shopping Center, and six others wounded.

Four people have been charged in the Shackleford shootout.
