ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Water Gas and Light crews have had one busy night. Crews have been working around the clock to restore power to customers.

All homes without power have been restored. Utility crews worked to restore power in three different areas in the city.

We're told a car hit the utility pole around midnight on Benjamin Avenue. Crews cut power to replace the pole.

Just after 4 this morning, a limb fell on an electrical line on Chatham and Westgate. 300 customers were without power and Albany Police had to direct traffic at the intersection of North Westover and Westgate.

We talked to someone who was surprised about the lights being off.  "I came down stairs to get something to drink. I noticed al the lights were out. I tried to cut them on and wondered was our lights off. I looked outside and saw everybody's lights were off," said WG&L Customer

Power has been restored at his home. Just before 11pm, a limb fell on another electrical line and cut off power to 40 homes on Melrose Lane.

Crews have restored power in that area as well.
