A man who was stopped for riding a bicycle without a headlight on Sylvester Road early this morning turned out to be a wanted felony suspect.
Dougherty County Police Lieutenant Lynn Davis stopped a man who claimed to be Marcus Washington in the 3300 block of Sylvester Road about 1:00AM.
He gave inconsistent answers, had no ID, and Davis ran his fingerprints. He turned out to be Darrell Ishmael Kirk, and the computer system showed that there is a warrant on him.
He is wanted for failure to appear to answer an armed robbery charge.
Davis tried to arrest Kirk, and he fought, hitting Davis in the head, and running away. Davis secured the bicycle and alerted headquarters
The following warrants were taken for Darrell Ishmael Kirk: Giving False Name and DOB, Obstruction(F), and Interfering with Government Property.
