LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

16-year-old Madison Stokes was the Lee County teen killed after her car was hit by a tractor trailer.  State Troopers and Lee County Deputies were called to Highway 82 and Story Lane shortly after 10:00PM.

Troopers say Madison pulled into the path of a tractor trailer that was headed eastbound. We're told the semi slammed into the driver's door of her car and Madison died at the scene.

39-year-old Johnny Hall was the driver of the tractor trailer and walked away unharmed. Lee County Sheriff Reggie Rachals wants drivers to use extreme caution anytime they get behind the wheel.

"Be careful wherever you travel. Always be on the lookout and alert no matter which way you coming from," said Rachals.

Troopers say Stokes was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Hall will not face any criminal charges.

Troopers say Stokes pulled out in front of his vehicle.
