Georgia Power crews head to Florida

Posted: Updated:
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Even though Tropical Storm Isaac has changed paths, it continues to cause problems for some in Florida.

Georgia power has sent crews from here to help with any problems caused by the storm.

They're sending crews to help with any possible power outages. The storm's high winds and rain have officials concerned.

The crews left Sunday morning. They sent less crews than normal just in case the storms path turns back towards Florida.

The National Weather Service reports the storm route is large and unpredictable. They believe Georgia could feel some of the remnants from the storm.

Right now the storm's path is headed toward the gulf and will likely be a Category 2 Hurricane. Mississippi and Louisiana are on high alert.
