Pelham plans to make some noise this year

Posted: Updated:
PELHAM, GA (WALB) -

Pelham head coach Frankie Carroll is entering year 2 in his turn around project at Pelham High School.  The Hornets won 4 games last year after going winless the previous season.  Pelham returns a very experienced group with 8 starters on offense 10 on defense.  Clearance Allman will start at quarterback with Lorenzo and Danzell Jackson and in the back field.

On defense, Quintarius Jasper will anchor the defensive line.  Logan berry enters his senior season at linebacker and CJ Drake locks down the cornerback position.  Coach Carroll expects his Hornets to make some noise in Region 1-AA this year.

"I think we're going to shock a few people.  I know we are the least ones they are worried about in our region but I think we're going to play well.  We're going to be competitive and we're going to get out there and fight you for 48 minutes."

The Hornets begin their season at Baconton Charter on August 31st.
