A wreck at the Intersection of North Slappey and Whispering Pines has traffic being sent through the parking lot of Goodwill, due to a pile up that has the roadway blocked.

This after a car crash that happened about 4:00.

First responders had to use the jaws of life to remove one woman from a vehicle that was badly damaged.

APD reports that Amy Collier, 20, driving a 2000 Ford Expedition, was traveling north bound on Slappey Boulevard attempting to make a left turn, westbound onto Whispering Pines.

Natoria Smith, 24, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet S10 pick-up truck.

Both drivers had the green light, but the turning light for Collier had expired. She proceeded to make the turn, and struck Smith's vehicle.

Collier was cited with Failure to Yield while making a left turn.

Smith  and a passenger were transported to the hospital for further observation.
