TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Voter turnout is expected to be high Tuesday in Tift County where three runoff elections will be decided including the sheriff's race.

County election officials say more than 2,500 people have voted early or mailed in their ballots.

The runoffs for sheriff, tax Commissioner, and coroner are all on the Republican ticket.

If you voted as a democrat in the July primary, you won't be able to vote in the runoff.

"If you voted as a Democrat last time, you cannot vote. If you voted non-partisan you can vote Republican because you did not choose a party. If you did not vote, you can vote Republican," said Tift County Elections Supervisor Jean Edwards.

All 12 Tift County precincts will be open tomorrow from 7 AM till 7 PM.
