Chehaw celebrated its 75th anniversary Saturday.
They opened the park free to the public for the month of August to thank them for their continued support over the years.
After all, officials say they would not have been around for the last 75 years without the support from a community who is very passionate about nature.
"It is a community that has invested in itself, to have an institution like this that has been around for 75 years is kind of a feat, it is a huge amount of support from the community that makes us happen," says Kevin Hils, Chehaw Zoo Director.
Krispy Kreme was also celebrating its 75th anniversary, and gave out free doughnuts to the public at today's event.
