An Albany organization that offers shelter to children in need got a needed donation from a retailer.
Kohls donated 25 book bags, school supplies and books to Open Arms, Inc. this afternoon.
The supplies will go to abused, homeless and runaway youth that Open Arms serves.
"We have a lot of kids from our runaway and homeless program as well as from DFCS who come in with not a lot of things. Any child that receives their necessities such as school supplies are very grateful for that," said Open Arms, Inc. Group Home Coordinator Tiffany Mallard.
Open Arms officials say Kohls is a long-time partner that donates time, supplies and money to help the organization serve children going through difficult times.
