DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -
Law enforcement agencies across the state are teaming up for a Labor Day road safety campaign called "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."
It kicked off Friday and runs through Labor Day.
The statewide crackdown will include a high-visibility enforcement campaign to curb alcohol-impaired as the summer ends.
"We try to tell these people the things they need to practice are not to drink and drive, wear their seatbelts and try to slow down. That's all we want. We want you to enjoy your holiday and come back alive from your holiday," said Captain Tom Jackson with the Dougherty County Police Department.
Officers say if you see a driver you suspect is impaired, you should call *GSP or 911.
