COLQUITT COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

A high school band director accused of having sex with a student is out of jail on bond Friday.

Colquitt County High Band Director Paul Guilbeau posted a $10,000 bond.

He was arrested Thursday and charged with sexual assault.

Investigators are checking phone records to look at potential text messages between Guilbeau and the student.

They say the relationship may have been going on for several weeks before being it was reported by the parents of the student.

Moultrie police tell us the sexual contact occurred off-campus.

They still won't confirm the gender or age of the student.
