The Eagles though are not taking a lot of experience down to the AA level.

econd head year head coach Otis Covington has just two senior starters returning.

The rest of the lineup consist primarily of freshmen and sophomores.

Dalton Todd, Travis Acord and Dillon Evans are battling at quarterback and it is backfield by committee.

Linebacker Kenny Brown and defensive back T.J. Clay will anchor the defense.

The Eagles may be young and inexperienced but their coach believes they can still be a factor in the region they won they last year they competed in it three years ago.

Otis Covington said. "We have to be patient with the young players that don't have the varsity experience. It is different type of speed. It is a different type of strength. We are looking forward to what we are able to build but at the same time we still believe we have enough players to make the plays. Make things exciting for us."

Sherwood Christian opens the season at home August 24 against Trinity Christian-Dublin.
