Panthers rebuilding upfront

Clinch County head coach Jim Dickerson says the Panthers program is still rebuilding after winning the school's fifth state championship two years ago.

The Panthers start the 2012 season facing big challenges on both lines of scrimmage where they lost all of their starters from a year ago.

The good news for Clinch is they do have some experience and talent at the skill positions.

James Corr, Kenyon Morehead, Trey Collier and Kenny Lashore are expected to make big plays on offense this season.

The Panthers are going to need plenty of big plays with the non-region schedule they face before opening play in region 2-A.

Head coach Jim Dickerson said. "That is the one thing we have always had here in Clinch County is guys that can run. This year is no exception. The only bad news is we don't have the depth at the skill positions. We have got three or four guys that can really run. We really help you win a football game."

Clinch County opens the season next Friday at Brooks County.
