You might want to start gathering up electronics, unwanted medications, and personal documents you no longer need.
These are some of the hundreds of computers and other equipment that Keep Albany Dougherty Beautiful has already collected as they prepare for next month's Go Green Recycling Event.
Organizers will also properly dispose of unwanted medications, Shred personal documents, and recycle printer cartridges.
"You take the plastic and they can shred it up and melt it and make other plastic out of it," said Keep Albany Dougherty Beautiful Executive Director Judy Bowles. "You shred the metal and you can make other metal products out of it. So we don't need to be wasteful. We need to be environmentally friendly and do the right thing."
The Go Green Event will be September 15th from 9 to 1 at the Albany Civic Center.
