A Dougherty County convenience store employee says three masked gunmen tried to rob the store late Thursday night but left because he had already locked the door.
It happened at the Stop N Shop in the 2200 block of the Liberty Expressway about 10:20 Thursday night.
Sam Ayaz had locked the front door and was closing up when three men with masks over their faces, each armed with a gun tried to come in.
"They were trying to get in the store, but the door was locked. My brother ran backwards, and they punched the window of that door. And they tried to bust the window up, but my brother see them leaving, running back of the store," said Ahsan Ayaz, Victim's Brother.
The robbers each wore white T-shirts.
There have been three convenience store armed robberies in Albany and Dougherty County in the last two weeks.
