An Albany family was burned out of their home Thursday night.
The fire started about 8:30 in a unit in an apartment house in the 2200 block of Leonard Avenue in East Albany.
"Around 8:40 we received a call to this apartment fire. We responded and found the bedroom fully involved. We moved in and quickly attacked it. We extinguished the fire and put it out. Now we're doing an investigation to see where the cause came from," said Albany Fire Department Battalion Chief Danil Potter.
Two adults and four children made it out safely.
Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the fire.
