It's been a very slow Tuesday at the polls in Dougherty county. So far, only five voters cast their ballots early in the republican runoff election.

In Dougherty County, there is only one statewide office on the ballot between John House and Rick Allen for the second congressional district. Election officials say most runoffs are slow, but they are hopeful more people will come out and vote.

Early voting will go on now through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Voting will take place on the second floor of the Government Center at 222 Pine Avenue.
