NBC News has confirmed Mitt Romney will pick Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan as his vice presidential running mate.
The announcement will come Saturday morning in Norfolk, VA aboard the USS Wisconsin.
Ryan is just 42 years-old. He's served in Congress since 1999 and is one of the Republican Party's most influential voices on economic issues.
Ryan currently chairs the House Budget Committee and had a prominent role in drafting the so-called Ryan plan, the GOP's long-term budget proposal.
