    Thomasville Police Officers responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting Sunday night. Employees said the man pulled knife and began swing it at them. He then ran to a vehicle parked in the parking lot and attempted to leave however, but the car would not start, so he took off running.

There was lots of laughing, Tuesday night, in downtown Albany to support a good cause.

The SOWEGA Council on Aging held its 7th annual Comedy Night fundraiser at the Municipal Auditorium.

It featured author and humorist Jeanne Robertson.

The event raises money for the Council's Meals on Wheels program.

"Meals on Wheels goes into the homes and it touches seniors in their homes. It brings something so essential to them. It brings a meal but it brings more than that," said SOWEGA Council on Aging Board Member William Collins

The SOWEGA Council on Aging serves more than 185,000 meals a year through the Meals on Wheels program to make sure seniors in 14 counties don't go hungry.
