Deerfield-Windsor looks towards another big season

Posted: Updated:
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Going into his 12th season as coach of the Deerfield-Windsor football team, Allen Lowe is looking to make the Knights the premier team in the GISA region 1-AAA again. The Knights have dominated the region but came up short of winning back to back championships losing in the state semifinals.

Now with the return of Kh'ron McClain who played both sides of the ball last year and will carry most of the load in the backfield this season and Weston King monitoring the line of scrimmage, The Knights should once again be ready to claim not only another region title but a state championship as well.

Lowe said "We've gotten off to a good start. We've got a good group of seniors and we expect them to be good leaders and we're hoping they're going to set a real high standard of what they expect us to perform."

Knights open up at SGA on August 24th
