Albany's new fall music festival has a name. Organizer Sam Shugart says will be called Georgia Throwdown.

Crews worked to clear the fair ground in preparation for the fall event. Shugart says everything will be ready when the festival kicks off October the 12th.

"Everything is ahead of schedule. I've got heavy equipment on the ground at the exchange club this week. We are going to open up 70 more acres, bring the total venue area to 110 acres. When you go out this fall to the festival you will not recognize the fair grounds," said Shugart.

Shugart says that festival similar to this one usually bring in around 300,000 people during the weekend.

The music line up for Georgia Throwdown has not been announced.
