THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Folks in one south Georgia city are gearing up for the opening of two major restaurant chains under the same roof.

Thomasville's new Olive Garden/Red Lobster combination is about four months from completion.

Representatives from the restaurants' parent company say construction on the mega restaurant is running according to plan.

"Actually we're a little ahead of schedule. Everything is going good. Looking forward to coming to Thomasville with this new concept. This will be the fifth building built like this. And it's a new concept they're working on they are trying to put in smaller towns," said Project Superintendent Duane Furnish.

The restaurants are expected to open December 10th.
