More than 500 jobs will be created in Tifton in the next six months. More than 30 of the jobs will come with the opening of Premier Transportation.
The Atlanta-based Premier is opening a new transportation facility in Tifton.
"We are working on several more of the same type of trucking companies because we are east and west and north and south so people are looking at us for logistics for trucks," said Grady Thompson, chairman of the Tift Co. Development Authority.
The building, which is located on Lamb Loop near the airport, will first undergo an expansion before they begin operations.
