The University of Florida scored a big win on Friday picking up its 22nd committment. Three-star offensive lineman Octavius Jackson from Colquitt County has verbally committed to the Gators. The 6'4 300 pound Jackson chose UF over Vanderbilt, Kentucky and South Florida.
Jackson explained being close to his family played a huge role in his decision and after talking with coach Will Muschamp and the rest of the Gator family he realized a strong similarity between Florida and Colquitt County.
He said "It reminds me of here, the coaches here. It's pretty much the exact same. They coach the same way and have the same attitude about the game of football. They love it to death. That's why I chose Florida"
Jackson also added that he committed early to fully focus on his senior season as a Packer.
