Second year Crisp County head football coach Lee Campbell continues to build the Cougar football program.
The defense will be the most experienced side of the football with eight players who started or saw considerable playing time last year returning.
They includes seniors Montel Richard and Sherrard Ruff and sophomore Montrae Hardage.
Sophomore Whit Campbell will lead the offense at quarterback with tight end Landon Whitman expected to be a big playmaker and Tony Alexander will lead the offensive line.
Coach Campbell believes this young group has a bright future judging by their work ethic.
Lee Campbell said. "We are going to be young and inexperienced. The guys are working hard. They have really caught on. Hopefully, we can get our feet wet early and get better every week."
Crisp County will open the season at home August 31st against Turner County.
