ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Some would say the good life city has lived up to its name this week in terms of entertainment. There was a stage play and a music concert Thursday night in downtown Albany and more events are planned for Saturday night.

The WWE Raw World Tour makes a stop at the Albany Civic Center and The King of R&B, Mr. R. Kelly, is set to perform at Club Stars in east Albany.

In wrestling, John Cena and the Big Show will face off in a steel cage match. Chris Jericho, Koffi Kingston and CM Punk are a few others set to perform.

On the same night, Mr. R. Kelly himself will perform for one night only. Gilbert Udoto is the promoter responsible. He talked about how important it is to have the city's support.

"It's important because we want to be competitive with Atlanta and New York. If you can see R. Kelly here that makes this the Good Life City," said Concert Promoter Gilbert Udoto.

Mr. Udoto is also responsible for bringing in big names like Run DMC, Luther Vandross and Salt-N- Peppa, and now he adds R. Kelly to that list.

The wrestling match starts at 7:30 at the Civic Center. It's a family friendly event.

The R. Kelly mini concert starts at 9pm at Club Stars in Albany. This event is for adults only.
