DAWSON (WALB) - Crews worked into the night in Dawson clearing fallen trees that fell Thursday afternoon during a powerful thunderstorm.

Officials say an oak tree toppled onto three empty cars outside the Dawson Public Safety Office on Crawford Street.

Emergency officials said Dawson and Terrell County experienced a severe power outage during the storm which rolled through around 5 o'clock.

No injuries have been reported, but we're told trees have fallen on some homes and cars.
