Lee County head coach Dean Fabrizio says the goal this season is to get back to 2010 form.
The Trojans made the state playoffs two years ago and believe the return of starting quarterback Matt Mears will put them in postseason contention.
Mears returns three of his top four receivers and running back Kenneth Hurley.
The defense expects to be strong up front with Caleb Strickland, Colton Grove and Willie Butler.
Sophomore Dextrick Green is a rising star in the secondary.
At Lee County, the key to the playoffs this year is to score touchdowns.
Dean Fabrizio said. "If you are playing at a fast paced and your defense is on the field, that is a little bit of an issue. Yea that is how our program is set up. We are set up to play fast and try to score a bunch of points."
Matt Mears said. "Make it even farther than the first round. Certainly the goal is to be that good or maybe even better."
Lee County opens at Dougherty on August 31st at Hugh Mills Stadium.
