A well known Albany church is showing its support for Chick-Fil-A.

Sherwood Baptist had Chick-Fil-A catered to their members for their fellowship meal before bible study, Wednesday night.

Church officials say it was important to show support for a company that has the same values as the church.

"We love the Cathy family. We love the services that they're providing around the world, not only with their restaurants, but also with their integrity. We believe what they believe. We decided that we wanted to support them and show them love, not only for them, but the love of Christ by going out and supporting Chick-Fil-A day," said Ken Bevel.

Church officials say the issue is not about being anti-gay, but simply about following the traditional family model.
