Albany Police have a warning, Wednesday night, after a rash of bogus $20 bills were used at several businesses.
The funny money was passed Tuesday at Ruby Tuesday, Jaxx Liquor store, Flash Foods and McDonalds on Slappey, and the Carmike Theaters.
There are two people being questioned, but they haven't been placed under arrest.
APD says business owners should be more vigilant of the fake money as crooks get better with producing the counterfeit cash.
Detectives gave out tips today on how to spot the fake bills.
"Look at the corner of the bill with the green '20', as you shift it down, it should turn colors from green to gold. This is very, very hard to duplicate. The criminals haven't figured this out yet, so that is one way to tell it is a real bill," said APD Detective Darrell Laster.
Detectives also said use the counterfeit detection pen and take your time to examine money from customers.
