Sylvester detectives are working with the GBI to find out who shot 24-year-old Octavious Roy Drayton this morning about 2:00AM.
Paramedics were called to the home at 100 Bridges St., behind the VFW in Sylvester, and found Drayton on a couch with a bullet hole in his chest.
They took him to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, were he had surgery this morning.
Detectives believe that Drayton was in a fight with someone, and that person shot the 5' 7" 130 pound man with a pistol. GBI agents processed the scene for evidence.
Drayton was unable to talk to investigators early this morning.
