Coffee High looking to new head coach Robby Pruitt to make the Trojans a playoff contender in the even tougher region 1-AAAAAA.
After an 11 year successful run at Fitzgerald, Robby Pruitt has brought his wing-T offense to Coffee.
Pruitt says the preseason will be challenging in determining who will start in the first game of the season.
The Trojans do have Clemson commit Maverick Morse on the offensive line.
Defensive end D.J. Jernigan and linebackers Caleb Beasley and defensive back Ronald Harrell are expected to lead the defense.
Coach Pruitt knows it is going to take time for his players to learn the wing-T attack.
Robby Pruitt said. "It is baby steps but our kids have showed up this summer. They are willing to work hard. I think we had 99 kids not miss a day of our summer program. That is something to build on. It is always a learning curve. Kids having to get used to your nomenclature and what you expect."
Coffee High opens the season August 24 at Whitewater.
Trojans first home game is September 14.
