Democratic House Representative Carol Fullerton will remain in office for another 2 years.

Fullerton beat out former Dougherty County Commissioner Maurlean Edwards.

She says she will now focus on bringing a new building to the campus of Albany State University… starting tomorrow.

"We're going to work hard on getting the money for Albany State for the Ray Charles classroom building," said Fullerton. "That's extremely important and I think we've been patient enough of getting the planning money and now we're shovel ready."

Fullerton has held her seat since January of 2009.
