NASHVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Georgia State Patrol Troopers arrested four men suspected in an armed robbery, Sunday evening.

"There ain't no telling how many people they've done that to. They needed to be stopped," said victim Mike Griffin, Jr.

It all started Sunday when Griffin said he was sitting in his car with a friend at the Holiday Market store on Old Coffee Road in Nashville.

That's when Griffin says two men jumped in the backseat of his car, pulled out guns and demanded money.

"They did just like this and dug the pistol in (my neck) and I grabbed it. Then I let go and he said his friend is going to shoot my friend. They put the gun to the back of his head and made him go through all my stuff while asking for money," said Griffin.

The robbers took off with about $40 in a getaway car with 2 other men. Griffin decided to chase after them.

During the chase that lasted 7 miles and hit top speeds of 120 miles per hour, Griffin said the robbers shot at his car five times.

His friend told him to stop the chase, but Griffin was determined to catch the crooks.

"My friend told me I should but I still didn't," said Griffin. "Because I was on the phone with the law and I was just making sure that they got what they deserved," said Griffin when asked why didn't he feel the need to let off?

The seven mile chase ended as the suspects lost control of their car, ending up striking a tree and tried to get away on a nearby golf course.

That's when troopers took down the four suspects after the brief foot chase.

Griffin says he's not a hero, but he had to do what he felt was right.

"I was just trying to stop them," said Griffin. "I would do it again. Even if I saw them do it to somebody else, I would still chase them down," he continued.

Nashville Police have not identified those four suspects yet.

They tell us they're still investigating this case.
