Albany students will have new school supplies thanks to generous donations of some area groups.

Athlete's Foot along with Head and OPM entertainment have teamed up for the third annual "Tools for Success."

Students received pens, paper and notebooks at the school supply giveaway. They also had the chance to get a free haircut.

Organizers say, in times like this, when people are struggling, giving back to the community is crucial.

"We have been in a position at one time, where we needed school supplies, we needed help along the way, the school supplies, the prices went up, so with the economy being down, we just felt like it was something we needed to do," says Richard Brigham\Event Coordinator.

More than 500 kids showed up to pick up school supplies.
