After a 5-11 season and its fourth straight year without a winning record the Jacksonville Jaguars now open training camp with new head coach Mike Mularkey and new owner Shahid Khan hoping to change the culture in Jacksonville with a brand new sense of urgency towards winning.
It's like Christmas in July in Jacksonville. The Jags welcome a new owner, a new coach and even a new locker room for the guys. The changes have all the makings now of a new season, a turnaround season for the Jacksonville Jaguars as the 2012 training camp begins.
Head coach Mike Mularkey said "There are things different. Shad has gone out of his way to try to build a team for success and everything we're trying to do has to do with putting us in a position to win."
Linebacker Daryl Smith said "This year we're just moving forward and hopeful we can just continue and win a lot of games this year."
Wide receiver Lee Evans said Things are different and I think there's a sense of that throughout this locker room and guys certainly want to be apart of it."
Defensive end Tyson Alualu said "Definitely a lot of excitement with the organization, the players and coaches as well. So we're excited to go into this 2012 season with big hopes"
The Jaguars open their preseason schedule August 10th at home against the Super Bowl champion New York Giants.
