Special Olympians around the state are getting ready for their statewide competition.

Competitors in the Master Level Special Olympic Bowling competition took part in a statewide bowling invitational in Albany Friday.

More than 100 of them honed their skills on the lanes.

The competitors on this level range in age from 22 to 70. 

Today's invitational was hosted by the Mitchell Baker Service Center.

30 volunteers helped with the event.

These athletes will compete in the state tournament n Warner Robins August 23 through 25.
