Albany's Taylor named Olympic track captain

BIRMINGHAM, AL. -

Albany native Angelo Taylor has been named the men's team captain for the United States Olympic track team in London.

Taylor is a two-time gold medal winner and is competing in his 4th Olympics.

Aretha Thurmond from Auburn, Alabama is the women's track team captain for the USA.

She is also competing in her fourth Olympic game.

The opening ceremonies are Friday night at 7:00 p.m. on WALB-NBC.
