In the NFL, you could likely count on one hand the number of players who are looking forward to training camp.
One of those players looking forward to training camp is Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis.
The former Randolph-Clay and Georgia star is wanting to play again after missing virtually all of the last three seasons with a torn anterior cruciate ligament on the same knee.
In fact, Davis could be the first player ever to return to action after having a torn ACL on the same knee three different times.
Davis has had to sacrifice for his comeback.
He took a massive pay cut with the Panthers just for the chance to play this season.
Thomas Davis said. "You won't believe how much I am looking forward to training camp. I know you probably won't find another guy that will say it. For me and my situation and the way things are going, I am definitely excited to make that drive down to Spartanburg."
The Panthers hold their first training camp practice Saturday.
