An Albany woman reaches a milestone birthday that a few of us get to celebrate.

Mrs. Buena Wooten-Long turned 100 today and was the guest of honor at the James Gray Senior Center. Mrs. Long was born in Whigam, Georgia when William Howard Taft was president and before World War I started.

Longevity runs in her family, her grandmother lived to be 106 years old. Even at 100, Mrs. Long stays active.
"Well I enjoy going to church . I enjoy reciting poems. We had a program at the church with everybody reciting poems and we'd have plays," said Long.

Mrs. Long attributes her long life to her faith in God, good genes and a strong work ethic instilled by her parents.
