A week's worth of music and art is coming to Albany later this year.
The week of October 6th will be Albany Music and Art week.
Mayor Dorothy Hubbard signed the proclamation Monday declaring the week as a time for local musicians and artists to showcase their talents. She said she can't wait for the event which she says will unite the community and offer entertainment to everyone.
"First of all, we have partnerships going on here," said Albany Mayor Dorothy Hubbard. "It is always good to when you have partnerships going on in the community. In addition to that, when you talk music and art, you're talking about something everybody can be involved in."
Mayor Hubbard says the idea for a music and art event has been in the works for many years. She said she is proud of so many Albany organizations working together to make it happen.
