THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - New or expectant mothers in or near Thomas County are encouraged to attend a "super" event.

During Wednesday's "Super WIC Wednesday" women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have children up to age five can enroll in the health department's Women Infant and Children program.

"We do nutritional education. We do height and weight, hemoglobin. We talk about their diet recall and we just educate them on the proper diets for healthy living," said RN Supervisor Patricia Mccloud.

To enroll, just drop by the Thomas County Health Department Wednesday between 7:30am and 3:30pm with your driver's license, social security card, immunization record, and birth certificate.
