One of the things on the ballot is the regional transportation sales tax referendum.

Albany city officials are promoting a list of projects their share of the revenue would pay for.

They include resurfacing or widening or other improvements on many of Albany's major roads including Westover Boulevard, Clark Avenue and Highway 133.

City officials say they put a lot of thought into the list and they need the voters to make sure the projects get done.

"From a staff stand point, we've worked on it since June of 2010 and we just hope the voters will get out and vote for it the way they feel they need to  and we'll see what happens after July 31st," said City of Albany Engineer Bruce Maples.

If the tax is approved, city commissioners will prioritize the projects on the list to see which ones get done first.
