Buster Posey has yet to play a full season in the major leagues but he has already won a World Series, won a Rookie of the Year award, caught a perfect game and last week started in the All-Star game.
As always Posey shares the credit.
Buster Posey said. "I think I am just lucky to play with a lot of great players already. Guys who really have a passion and enjoy playing baseball."
Buster Posey wasn't feeling too lucky when he suffered a broken ankle in May of last year.
It has been long road back from that season ending injury with Giants manager Bruce Bochy taking the cautious approach in Posey's return to the lineup.
Buster says he is just now starting to feel 100 percent.
Posey said. "I feel like I have gotten stronger as the season has gone on. Hopefully it just continues to get stronger and stronger for the rest of the season.
Feeling good, Buster Posey is now focused on leading the Giants back to the World Series.
Buster Posey said. "We are in a good position. I think it took us a little while to start the season and to kind of mesh. Come together and get that good chemistry we needed. I think that is all coming into place."
The Giants media notes say Buster Posey has the lowest catcher earned run average for any player at the catching position in the Major Leagues.
