The movie will go one in Americus.
People filed in to see the movie Friday saying the tragedy in Colorado would not keep them from seeing the movie they've been waiting for.
Carmike Cinema 2 will be showing the new film at least 5 times a day.
One viewer says Americus is safe and she isn't worried about her safety inside the theater.
"Well we are in Americus, it is a nice place, you do not see too much trouble here, people like that they are few and far between thank goodness, you don't see too many crazies," said Toni Chapman,"Dark Knight Rises" Attendee.
The assistant Manager of Carmike Cinema says they will continue to take the same safety precautions they normally do, which includes checking bags people bring into the theater.
