Thomasville Police are looking for two men who attempted to rob a store, scaring customers and clerks.
Publix will soon open its door in Tifton, giving folks another place to shop while providing needed jobs.
Publix held a job fair this week at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center.
The store will create about 100 jobs.
Tifton Mayor Jamie Cater says with unemployment going back up in Georgia it's nice to have new jobs in Tifton.
"It is not just Publix, which we are proud of, and the jobs, but it is also what comes along behind Publix, and how Publix enhances all the property around it," said Jamie Cater, Tifton Mayor.
You can apply at any Publix location for a job at the Tifton store.
You can also apply at the new store once it opens in August.
