TIFT CO., GA (WALB) -

A South Georgia animal shelter needs your help.

The Tift County Animal Shelter is asking people to donate items such as towels,  blankets, dog and cat food, soap and dish detergent. The animal shelter will also accept cash donations. They need supplies because all of their monetary donations go into spaying and neutering.

"Our main program out here is spaying and neutering. The reason being is because we have so many animals we pick up everyday and they are unwanted. So, we are trying to stop that unwanted animals." said Director of Tift County Animal Shelter, Regina Wells.

You can drop off donations at the animal shelter from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. They're also collecting supplies at the Tifton Gazette office.
