She comes to South Georgia from Florida's Treasure Coast. Lydia grew up in Port St. Lucie, Florida and later moved to Orlando to pursue her dreams of becoming a news reporter.
Lydia graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. At UCF she worked on the student-run news show, Knightly News, where she anchored, reported, and produced the weekly newscast.
She also reported for UCF-TV's "407 Magazine" show.
Lydia interned at WKMG Local 6, WFTV Channel 9, and Ivanhoe Broadcast News, in Orlando. Lydia considers herself a true "news junkie," and loves giving people the opportunity to tell their story.
When she's not reporting, Lydia spends time with her husband and cat, Fiona. You can catch her checking out Valdosta restaurants and exploring her new city.
