Personnel at the Gillionville Baptist church made a call to 911 about 6:20 Tuesday evening to report a naked man walking behind their campus.

Dougherty County Police Officers responded to the church near the YMCA Sports Park on Gillionville Road, and found 31-year-old Jeremiah Spence walking around without any clothing.

He told officers that he was Jesus Christ, and that they were commanded to shoot him, or "go to hell."

Officer tried to subdue Spence and finally had to Tase him to get him arrested.

He was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. Officials said that Spence had just been released from hospitalization that day.

Church officials say that Spence called them today inquiring about his car, which was towed from the church to the county impound yard when he was arrested.
